Congratulations to OCHS sophomores Kailey Shouse and Adriana Halsey for acceptance into the Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute (ELI). They are OCHS’s first ever recipients!
Congratulations to OCHS sophomore, Michael Mason, who has been selected as a 2022 Rogers Scholar! Michael is the son of Mike and the late Leslie Mason.
Congratulations to OCHS junior, Christian Bowling, who has been selected as a 2022 Governor’s Scholar! Christian is the son of Gary Wayne and Caddis Bowling.

Owsley County Theater won 2nd place at EKDAS today! EKDAS stands for Eastern KY Dramatic Arts Society. We went up against 7 other awesome schools! Other awards we received are: Best Newcomer, Best Live Accompaniment to The Rookies, Best Supporting Actor to Erin Napier, and 2 students on the All-Mountain Cast: Callie Smallwood and Ethan Sebastian! Super proud of these and all the support crew we have! Owsley Proud!!!

Owls win 9-6 behind the arm of Dylan Gay. Dylan goes 6 1/3 innings with 10 strikeouts. Landon Foister leads the Owls with 3 hits on the night, Christian Bowling leads the Owls with 4 RBI’s. McKindrick Little, Dylan Gay, and Andrew Terry all had 1 RBI a piece.

OCHS GEAR UP students enjoyed a trip to Morehead State University where they received a guided tour across campus, had lunch at The Rock, and spent time perusing the bookstore. Many students left excited and looking forward to potentially becoming an MSU Eagle one day!
