This week in OCMS classrooms!

I want to extend a huge “Thank You” and shout out to the OCHS Girls basketball team, cheerleaders, band, teachers and students who showed a school spirt that was classy, respectful, and competitive throughout the post season tournament. I, the Owsley County School Board, and the entire school-community are extremely proud !!
This marked the 2nd time for the girls and 4th time over all that our basketball teams have made it to the final game of the 14th region in our school history.

What students are learning this week in middle school courses!!

OCHS juniors will be taking the state required ACT in the Owsley County High School gymnasium on Tuesday, March 15 beginning promptly at 8:00A.M. There can be NO late arrivals per ACT guidelines. OCHS Youth Service Center will be providing a catered breakfast beginning at 7:30A.M. on this date. PLease make sure your student is well rested and at school on time to be able to eat breakfast and begin testing. Also, please do not schedule appointments on this date. Students perform much better in the controlled group setting rather than makeup testing. If you have any questions or issues, please contact Mrs. Johnson in the guidance office.

OCHS student Katie Beth Lucas worked today as a page for House Rep Bill Wesley at KY Legislature. Great Learning experience!! #Alwaysanowl
